Mexican Silver Necklace
The tarnish on silver jewelry is a product of oxidation, caused by the interaction of silver jewelry with certain elements such as oxygen or sulfur as well as with certain acids. We therefore recommend these simple tips.
1. Avoid contact with chemicals such as chlorine, kitchen cleaners etc.
2. Avoid excessive exposure to water as this can generate mineral residue.
3. Avoid using your fine jewelry when you are doing housework. This will prevent scratches and bumps.
4. Store your silver jewelry in a clean, dry, always store them in boxes lined with fabric, felt or bags divided compartments. If you prefer to use ordinary boxes, wrap each piece individually in paper.
5. Clean jewelry with a soft damp cloth after use. If your room already has obscured much you can use:
-Special Flannels are impregnated with a special chemical that gives shine.
-Liquids containing a small amount of acid and are highly effective, then rinsed with clean water.
Remember that it is normal for silver jewelry to darken, because it reacts with substances that can exist in the same environment, but also said that some people tarnish the silver because they have much uric acid in the skin.
